It is almost time to kick off another exciting year at Community Christian Academy! We look forward to welcoming our students and families back on Monday, August 21st.
However, there is another spectacular event that coincides with our opening day of the 2017-2018 academic year – the solar eclipse. After careful consideration, we have decided to dismiss students at 12:30 p.m. to allow everyone to get to a safe location for viewing this historical event. We feel this is a much better option for families rather than being in carline and then on the road when everyone will be wanting to look upward. We will spend some time on this day discussing this event on grade appropriate levels and plan on sending our students home with their very own pair of eclipse glasses. Hopefully, when we all return on Tuesday, there will be many wonderful stories to share with classmates. If this early dismissal causes a hardship on your family, please contact the school office this week at 706-426-8881 and we will be glad to work with you. With such an exciting beginning, this year at CCA is sure to be the best yet. Thank you for partnering with us! *Please send a lunch with your child. We will be having lunch before dismissal. Serving Him, Ms. Beverly Neal Principal
