Marine Corps CJROTC
Oorah! Let's Go Ambassadors!
The CJROTC Program at CCA helps develop the all-around character of participating cadets. CJROTC teaches skills and values such as leadership, honor, respect, self-confidence, and team building, all while emphasizing a Christian worldview. Although CCA's CJROTC program emulates the United States Marine Corps as a service organization, it is not affiliated with the DOD TECOM JROTC Program.
The CJROTC curriculum includes rank identification, organizational structures, customs and courtesies, drill and ceremony, and basic rifle marksmanship using the .177 Pellet air rifle, along with many other United States Marine Corps skills. CJROTC builds confidence in both individual cadets and the team through leadership, unit cohesion, and esprit de corps. Additional CJROTC activities include physical fitness, color guard, drill team, and community service throughout the academic year.
All full-time rising 9th through 12th-grade students of CCA may apply to the CJROTC Program. Full-time rising 8th-grade students require a personal interview with the Senior Military Instructor for a recommendation to apply. Participating cadets must maintain academic and acceptable standards of conduct, as well as complete all required CCA extracurricular athletic forms for participation in CJROTC.
The annual cost of CJROTC enrollment is $125, which includes all program fees and a utility uniform. Additional uniform items required throughout the year, not covered by the enrollment fee, include United States Marine Corps-compliant combat boots, CJROTC dress uniform, United States Marine Corps-compliant dress uniform low-quarter shoes, and any additional items necessary for training. The CCA CJROTC Program may conduct fundraising events to offset the costs associated with these additional requirements.
Community Christian Academy (CCA) is dedicated not only to academic excellence, as evidenced by your impressive academic achievements, but also to instilling Christ-like values and everyday skills in its students. The school's commitment to nurturing both the spiritual and practical aspects of each student is reflected in its comprehensive approach to education. The CJROTC program at CCA plays a pivotal role in this holistic development, fostering a sense of discipline, leadership, and community service. The program's remarkable achievement of winning the drill competition for two consecutive years showcases the dedication and teamwork instilled in the students. This success not only speaks to the school's commitment to excellence but also highlights the positive impact of incorporating Christ-like values into the fabric of the educational experience at CCA.
